  • What makes you different from other local portrait photographers? Why should someone hire you? First, there are no local portrait photographers in or around Blackstone. Secondly, I'm good and I make you feel good. .

  • What are your standard payment terms? $50 photo session fee due at shoot and the remainder when portrait is picked up. So far I have not failed to pick up the check. .

  • What is your customer satisfication policy? I have none because no one has ever been dissatisfied. .

  • What is your event cancellation policy? Like I said, I have never missed a wedding. If I can't shoot it, however, my wife is a photography, and if she can't do it I have back up photographers who will. .

  • What are your standard payment terms? How much is the deposit? After a $200 retainer/deposit, the balance is due either before or on the day of the wedding. .

  • Who exactly will be taking pictures at my wedding? Do you use subcontractors? No, what you get is me. I don't out source me. .

  • How many months in advance do I need to reserve your services for my wedding date? Just call and see if I'm booked. .

  • Will you be taking digital photographs? Is there an extra charge for this service? We're all digital, since the last five or six years, I believe. .

  • Can guests view and order shots on-line? How soon will the photos be put on-line? Weddings are put online within two days after the wedding and family and friends can order directly from me. Save's you a big head ache. .

  • What is included in your basic wedding packages? The basic package is just me and the camera for two hours. You add products you want after that. .

  • What is your customer satisfication cancellation policy? I require a $200 retainer that is nonrefundable if you cancel. I have never missed a wedding in 20 year, so all of my bride's are satisfied. .

  • Do you bring an assistant to the wedding to help coordinate portraits? No, I'm pretty good at working with crowds, but it is helpful if you provide a list of special pictures after the ceremony. .

  • Can I keep the negatives? the proofs? Is there an extra charge for this service? How much? If you get the full 6 hour and portrait package the digital negatives with © release are free. But we can talk about this. Nothing is etched in stone. .

  • What kind of equipment will you bring with you? Do you bring backup equipment? lighting? I bring backup cameras and flash and use two studio lights for formal pictures in the church. .

  • What new ideas have you implemented in the last couple years? Are you current with latest trends? EVery wedding is a possibility for new ideas for me. I do have the latest camera technology, but it's always the photography and not the equipment that catches the eye. .

  • How many pictures do you take? Can I provide a list of posed photos for you to take? I usually take around 700-800 pictures in a 6 hour wedding. With about 100 put in an outtake folder, that leaves around 600 great pictures to choose your album from. .

  • How would you describe your photographic style? What does this mean? I capture the moments of joy in the faces of your family and friends and between you and your groom. And of course, I record the day for history along with any traditional poses you want. .

  • How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel charge? I cover a 50 mile radius from Blackstone, which includes the Richmond, Farmville, South Hill and Petersburg area. .

  • Can we request both that both color and black & white photography be used at the wedding? I shoot in color but switch to B/W in the album to mix it up. Whom ever wrote this question obviously didn't use digital cameras. .

  • What makes you different from other local photographers? Why should someone hire you? When a bride hires me, I am totally hers. At her wedding my focus is 100 percent on the movement and emotion of her wedding. I hunt down and capture every beautiful moment and expression of joy I can find. Nothing escapes and the images are pressed like butterflies in your album. .

  • How quickly will I receive my prints? Your DVD albums are mailed in one week, and your custom album usually takes a few months. .

  • How many weddings have you photographed? Twenty years with an average of 20 a year makes about 400. Wow, I had no idea. But lately, I'm been cutting back a little. .
